- Blog Safety:

- General safety issues must be adhered and agreed at by whole class (see list pasted into foot of blog.)
- Remove Navbar.
- Edit html were possible so widgets cannot refer back to their site or their advertising is removed. (Use Photostory or Moviemaker to create slideshows).
- Pages must be previewed before linking to blog. (Pages with non-educational links must not be included).
- Moderation must be turned on for comments.
- Posts must be saved in draft form to be viewed by teacher before publishing.
- How to get started
- Decide what type of blog you want to setup eg: classroom, personal, family or professional blog.
- Choose a blog host:
- Blogger - very common. Made for a variety of users. www.blogger.com
- Edublogger - NEW (2008) setup with for Teachers and students. www.edublogs.org
- Class Blogmeister (David Warlick) - built for the classroom. http://classblogmeister.com
